Lessons are tailored to the individual and their interests, with an eye on any curriculum needed for school, OMTA, or professional requirements. Beginners are encouraged to explore music as well as learning the basics - ear training, favorite songs and improvising are all part of the learning process. All levels of musicianship are addressed, with a focus on classical and contemporary keyboard styles (including jazz, blues, gospel, New Orleans and rock).
Lessons can be in 1/2 hour, 45 minute, or 1 hour increments depending on your level and motivation. OMTA syllabus and recitals are encouraged for all (but not required).
